Training for member organisations The Multiannual Financial Framework of the EU 2014-2020
28.11.2014 - Implications for development and humanitarian NGOs
After three years of negotiations, the EU institutions finally agreed on the Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF) 2014-2020 and the different development oriented instruments and programmes therein. The outcomes are clearly marked by the different processes such as the EU’s Agenda for Change, the Busan High Level Forum on Aid Effectiveness and the Post 2015 negotiations that took place in parallel of these budget negotiations.
During this participatory workshop we want to provide participants with a clearer overview of the MFF and different geographic and thematic instruments, programmes as well as the guiding principles and objectives that will shape development cooperation and humanitarian aid for the next 7 years. We will also explore the different roles and opportunities for involvement of CSOs in the development cooperation of the EU.
The training will be conducted by Lonne Poissonnier, Policy and Advocacy Coordinator at CONCORD, the European confederation of Relief and Development NGOs. The training will be held in English.
