Shifting the Power

Die AG Globale Verantwortung unterstützt im Rahmen des Projekts Partnerships on Equal Terms österreichische NGOs dabei, ihre Zusammenarbeit mit lokalen Partnerorganisationen zu intensivieren. Diese kennen die Lebensumstände und Bedarfe der Menschen sowie die sozialen und politischen Gegebenheiten in einer Region am besten. Wenn lokale Partner*innen mehr Macht über (finanzielle) Ressourcen, Entscheidungen, Anliegen, Wissen und Repräsentation erhalten, trägt dies nicht nur zu gerechteren Machtverhältnissen in Projektstrukturen bei, sondern langfristig auch zwischen Ländern des Globalen Südens und Globalen Nordens.

OECD DAC launches „Practical Guidelines for Supporting Locally Led Development“

On 28 May 2026, the OECD Development Assistance Committee (DAC) launched its Practical Guidelines for Supporting Locally Led Development, a key step toward reshaping international development cooperation. An accompanying call to action encourages governments, multilateral organizations and other funders to strengthen their support for locally led development and improve their practices. It has been endorsed by a broad coalition of governments, civil society organizations, and philanthropic actors, including Global Responsibility.

Project

Partnerships on Equal Terms

Through this three-year project (2025–2028), Global Responsibility and its Moldovan project partners CONCORDIA Proiecte Sociale and the Institute for Democracy and Development aim to strengthen the solidarity and future-readiness of Austrian Development Cooperation and Humanitarian Assistance. The project is part of International Partnerships Austria.
