Support for children with special needs in San Francisco de Mostazal

"Es mi casa"

This project near Santiago de Chile facilitated construction of a workshop and a school for disabled children. With the construction work now completed, children have been able to start studying in an inviting environment. Relief supplies including wheelchairs, crutches and white canes were donated to the school.

Thanks to the valuable cooperation with the organisation “Trekking Chile” headed by Mr Franz Schubert, the Regional Office for Latin America can support “Es mi casa” beyond the end of the project timeline. The regional coordinator for Latin America visits the school on a regular basis and maintains ongoing contact with the principle and teachers, to ensure the sustainability of the project in the future.
