Smile at nature – save the bee The aim of this project is to raise awareness among students on the importance of environmental protection and the conservation of bees and other pollination species in order to protect the ecosystem. Throughout the project, 50 beehives were distributed to ten schools in the country with the objective to disseminate the knowledge on the role of bees and other pollination species for human life. Pupils have decorated these beehives according to colour and ecological requirements, which were then installed at educational aperies that the students could visit. In addition, a number of seminars on environmental protection were organized for the pupils. In total, 35 schools with 15,000 participants are involved in this project.
